Home Run of the Day: Nelson Cruz, Texas Rangers #2 (Trot Time: 24.48 seconds) [video]

Bobby Abreu also hit a walkoff home run in super-late innings for the Angels yesterday (the fourteenth inning, to be exact), but Cruz gets the big head-nod as Home Run of the Day because his was his second home run of the day. Talk about a good day.

Slowest Trot: Bobby Abreu, Los Angeles Angels - 28.13 seconds [video]

Besides, we get to mention Bobby here. Abreu is a slow trotter to begin with. When you add a walkoff celebration into a mob of Angels, it's just going to get that much slower. This was actually the second-slowest walkoff trot of the year (Orlando Cabrera's 28.9 second trot from May still stands at number one).

St. Louis' Chris Carpenter hit a home run, too - the second of his career. It was a nice little trot, though, timing out at 26.39 seconds.

Quickest Trot: B.J. Upton, Tampa Bay Rays - 19.5 seconds [video]

Upton was only one of two players to come in under twenty seconds yesterday, and the other just happened to be his teammate, Ben Zobrist.
