Tater Trot Tracker: Division Series, Day 2
Man, stuff really has gotten in the way of my posting so far this week. With the busy weekend and then the out-of-town conference for work, I just haven't had a chance to update everything here on the site. You can definitely expect a year-in-review Tater Trot Tracker post in the next couple of days. I have clocked all the home runs from that final weekend of the year - I just need to get the thing written.
I'll also be doing regular updates of the Tater Trot Tracker throughout the playoffs. On nights when I can, I may even do the post live. You can consider this post a first (tardy) attempt at that. And since I didn't get yesterday's trots up, I'll include them here.

Reds vs. Phillies
Game 1
No home runs hit. Roy Halladay deserves to be mentioned anyway - you just can't mention the Doc enough.
Rangers vs. Rays
Game 1
Ben Zobrist, Tampa Bay Rays - 18.68 seconds (Season average: 19.37 seconds)
Nelson Cruz, Texas Rangers - 23.24 seconds (Season average: 22.67 seconds)
Bengie Molina, Texas Rangers - 24.8 seconds (Season average: 26.11 seconds): Gotta say, with the reaction I saw on Twitter, I expected something much worse than this. This was actually Bengie's single fastest trot of the year!
Game 2
Ian Kinsler, Texas Rangers - 21.5 seconds (Season average: 22.82 seconds)
Michael Young, Texas Rangers - 17.79 seconds (Season average: 18.35 seconds): Michael Young is sincerely underrated when it comes to his home run trots.
Yankees vs. Twins
Game 1
Mark Teixeira, New York Yankees - 22.12 seconds (Season average: 21.91 seconds): Home runs that flirt with the foul pole seem to be give you a slightly slower tater trot because the batter often stands for a minute waiting to see what the ball does. Teixeira didn't seem to let it bother him.
Michael Cuddyer, Minnesota Twins - 19.4 seconds (Season average: 20.91 seconds)
Game 2
Lance Berkman, New York Yankees - 21.58 seconds (Season average: 23.41 seconds)
Orlando Hudson, Minnesota Twins - 17.7 seconds (Season average: 18.76 seconds): The Twitter world went crazy over O-Dog's trot, as expected. I didn't expect it to live up to the hype, especially when I saw just how quick Young's trot was earlier today. Surprisingly, Hudson's trot turned out to be even quicker. Very nice to see.
