My main reason for not including him was that I already took Morgan from the Big Red Machine, and I was trying to diversify. I have Ruth & Gehrig together on the White team, but Morgan & Rose don't seem to be as demanding of the co-honor as those two. Plus, I don't really like Rose, so that played into it as well... but you're right, Rose is the quintessential rook. Chadillac: Cal is still my all-time favorite player, so I wanted to put him there. But I thought about it, and I think Jeter has kind of surpassed him as the most revered/respected player of recent years. I may not like that as much, but it seems fair.
