Funniest Part of the 1988 story

is the Pete Rose quote at the end, "Do you think I'll be the first unanimous inductee?" How'd that work out for ya Pete?

Mariotti is the poster boy for the sell out ESPNized fame addicted whores that play the part of sports journalists on TV. He and his fellow cronies have no buissness voting on anything to do with sports. The term "noise" was created to identify the things these clowns say to get noticed. - gbewing

Jay Mariotti has no business making a living as a sportswriter, much less having a Hall of Fame vote.

As a Cub fan I'm happy for Dawson, but I'd agree his case is borderline. I'm most disappointed about Barry Larkin missing induction. Until the recent debate over the issue, I'd always considered him a shoo-in. I had no idea anyone doubted his credentials. - Ian W.
